Functional description
The xFUME FLEX extraction system forms part of a welding, cutting and grinding system. Harmful fumes are produced during
the welding, grinding, and also during the laser and plasma cutting processes. The internal filters of the welding fume
extraction system extract and clean the harmful fumes. The welding fumes are extracted via the extraction hood and the
connected extraction hoses and then fed through filter elements. In the standard configuration, the extraction system is
equipped with a pre-filter and a main filter. Large particles are removed by a pre-filter. Fine particles are then removed by
the main filter. The particles and dust adhere to the surface of the filter material, which causes the intake pressure on the fan
to increase. The cleaned air is then returned through an exhaust air grille.
The welding fume extraction system can operate a flexible extraction arm with a length of 2, 3 or 4 metres.
The device corresponds to the welding fume separation class H13.
