could impair the safety of the vehicle and/or damage it.
Check that the turn signals are properly secured and
functioning correctly before every journey.
Ensure that commissioning is performed properly. In doing
so, follow these installation instructions.
Before carrying out any work on the vehicle electrical system,
be sure to disconnect the vehicle battery – there is a danger
of short-circuit!
When carrying out assembly work, ensure that the vehicle is
in a safe position and that the workplace is well lit.
The turn signal should be installed in a way that protects it
from vibrations, as in extreme cases, vibrations can destroy
the circuit board of the LEDs (rubber-mounted handlebar
clamps generally offer sufficient vibration protection).
Make sure that the throttle twistgrip can move freely and can
spring back by itself.
The electrical as well as mechanical installation on the
vehicle must be carried out correctly. Incorrect installation
can cause short-circuits or invalidation of the type-approval.
The electric cables must not be subjected to any tensile
forces, even when the steering is in full lock. The cables
must be routed in such a way that they cannot chafe and
they must not bend. If necessary, an extra cable sheath or a
rubber cable feed-through can be used.
Any resistors that are installed may heat up during use and
therefore must not be installed in the direct vicinity of heat-
sensitive components or in closed housings. Depending on
the duty cycle of the turn signals, temperatures of 80°C or
more may occur during operation. Only resistors with a heat
sink may be used.
The turn signal itself also warms up during operation – skin
contact must therefore be avoided.
Keep plastic films and other packaging materials away from
children. There is a danger of suffocation.
5 | STORAGE
Store the turn signal indoors for protection against the weather
and moisture. Humidity should not exceed 80%.
