Explanation of terms

Description
The active leaf is the first door leaf that is opened on a two-leaf door.
The inactive leaf can be opened after the active leaf of a two-leaf door is
opened.
The rebate gap is the distance between the face plate and striking plate (Fig. 3).

The bolt attachment is screwed onto the coupling. The bolt and the fitting are
located at the upper end.
The coupling is the connecting element between the bolt rod (top) and the
bolt attachment. It also aids the handling of the synthetic wire.
The bolt rod (top) is a rod in the door leaf which extends from the top of the
lock to the door frame and engages in the lock counterpart in the frame.
The bolt rod (bottom) is a rod in the door leaf which extends from the bot-
tom of the lock to the door frame and engages in the lock counterpart in the
frame.
The eccentric lock recess is installed in the lower door frame or in the floor
and serves as the counterpart for the lower bolt rod.
