To achieve the required measurement accura-
cy for all well-known vehicle manufacturers it is
important to set up and level the lift platform as
precisely as possible. For this, the following work
steps must be done:
• Lift the platform to eye level and lower into the
catches.
• Position each of the measurement channels from
the outside to the cross-beams and check and
ensure each drive track has the same level using
the levelling device.
• Precisely align the drive-in rails by adjusting the
fastening screws of the safety ratchets (9) on the
head plate (10).

8.10 Adjusting the drive-in rails

The standard dimension between both drive-in rails
is 928 mm. However there is the option of adjusting
the right drive-in rail in the driving direction by 9 x
50 mm (a total of 450 mm).
For this, the lift must be set down into the catches
(24) so that there are no tensional forces on the ca-
bles which could make adjusting the drive-in rails
more difficult.
• Move the vehicle out of the lift
• Set down the lift into the catches.
• Remove the ramps and safety override on the
adjustable rails.
• Remove both covers (front side of the cross-be-
ams).

Safety inspection

The safety inspection is required to guarantee ope-
rational safety of the lift. It is to be done:
1. Before first commissioning after setting up the lift
use the "single safety inspection" form
2. After first commissioning, check regularly at least
once per year.
Use the "regular safety inspection" form
3. The regular safety checks shall simulate a collisi-
on with an obstacle (6.1) and check the function
of the cable sleep switch (5).
4. After changes to the lift system construction
Use the "extraordinary safety inspection" form
005
Single and regular safety inspections must be
!
done by a specialist. It is recommended to do
maintenance at the same time.
After a change in construction (for example
i
changing the load carrying capacity or chang-
ing the lifting height) and after significant main-
tenance on load carrying parts (e.g. welding
work), inspection by a technical expert is re-
quired (extraordinary safety inspection)
This inspection book contains forms with a detailed
inspection plan for safety inspections.
Please use the appropriate form, record the con-
dition of the inspected system and leave the com-
pleted form in this inspection book.
