PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Prior to first use, clean the group handle (not the unit) and the water tank under running water so that potential production residues are removed.
Subsequently re-insert the water tank. Screw on the rotary knobs and the hand lever. Proceed as follows:
Remove the slotted screw and the spring washer at the front of the holder of the rotary knobs for the steam and hot water.

Place the rotary knobs on the rotary knob holders.
●
Ensure that one tip of the rotary knob is pointing upwards when the steam/hot water valve is closed.
●
Insert the screw with the spring washer into the hole provided and tighten it with the enclosed screwdriver.
●
Remove the silicone cover from the hand lever holder
●
Insert the hand lever into the opening provided and turn it clockwise to tighten it.

VENTING
IMPORTANT!
Vent the unit prior to initial commissioning or after you have not used the unit for a long period of time. Do not insert the group handle for
venting.
Insert the plug into the socket.

Fill the water tank with water. Maximum filling volume 2.5 litres.
●
Press

The unit is heating up.
●
If "GRAEF" appears on the display, the unit is ready for operation.
●
Take the milk jug and hold it under the steam lance.
●
Turn on the rotary knob.
●
Allow the air to escape until steam comes out.
●
Turn off the rotary knob again.
●
PREPARATION
IMPORTANT!
After switching the unit back on again, carry out an empty withdrawal (without coffee grounds) as described below in order to bring the
system to temperature.
Fill water in the tank. 2.5 litres at the maximum.

Insert the desired filter insert.
●
Put in the group handle without coffee grounds (from left to right).
●
Switch on the unit.
●
Wait until the unit has heated up and "GRAEF" appears on the display.
●
Use the hand lever and allow water to run through briefly to bring the system up to temperature.

Press the hand lever down again to finish the process.
