nance or repair.

Intended Use
The STIHL FSA 70.0 R brushcutter is designed
for mowing grass.
Never use the brushcutter in the rain.
The STIHL AK battery feeds the brushcutter with
power.
The STIHL AL 101 charger is used to charge the
STIHL AK battery.
WARNING
■ There is a risk that batteries and chargers that
are not explicitly approved by STIHL for the
brushcutter can cause fire or explosion. Per‐
sons may be seriously or fatally injured, and
property may be damaged.
► Use the brushcutter with a STIHL AK bat‐
tery.
► Recharge the STIHL AK battery with a
STIHL AL 101, AL 301 or AL 501 charger.
■ Using the brushcutter, battery or charger for
purposes for which they were not designed
can cause material damage and serious or
fatal injuries.
► Use the brushcutter, battery and charger as
described in this User Manual.

Requirements for the user

■ Users without adequate training or instruction
cannot recognize or assess the risks involved
in using the brushcutter, battery and charger.
The user or other persons may sustain serious
or fatal injuries.
► Read and understand the User Man‐
ual and keep it in a safe place for
reference.
► If you pass on the brushcutter, battery and
charger to another person: Always give
them the User Manual.
► Make sure that the user meets the following
conditions:
– The user is rested.
– The user must be physically, sensorially
and mentally able to operate and work
with the brushcutter, battery and
charger. If the user is able to operate
the equipment but has physical, sensory
or mental limitations, the user may only
work with the equipment under the
supervision of or after receiving instruc‐
tion from a responsible person.
