3 Changing air filters
RLS 45 K: Press
conds. The ventilation unit runs in automatic
mode.

To switch off, press one of the buttons again for
2 seconds.
RLS 45 O: Select ventilation level 3 with the
button
. The ventilation unit runs in automatic
mode.
To switch off automatic mode, select a different
ventilation level.
DS 45 RC: Press
conds. The ventilation unit runs in automatic
mode.
Function active when the orange or blue LED at
the bottom of the ventilation unit lights up (5 se-
conds).
To switch off, press one of the buttons again for
2 seconds.
3 Changing air filters
DANGER due to electric shock
Observe the safety rules of electrical engineering.
Before removing covers and installing the elec-
trics, switch off all supply circuits and secure
them against being accidentally switched back on
again.
CAUTION Cuts due to sharp edges on
sheet metal or housing cut-outs or on the sli-
de-in module.
Wear protective gloves. Do not damage connecti-
on cables.
CAUTION Danger to health, respiratory
diseases, infections due to poor hygiene if
the filters are not changed regularly or if the
ventilation unit is used without an air filter.
The filter change indicator flashes when the
filter is due to be changed.
RLS 45 K: Current LED flashes.
Performing and acknowledging
filter change: Press and hold both
buttons for 5 seconds.

PP 45 RC / PPB 30 RC: At the
bottom of the RC unit, an LED
(orange or blue) flashes. Remove
the housing cover, perform and
acknowledge filter change:
Press SET button for 5 seconds.
Attach housing cover.
ATTENTION
• Change the air filters of the ventilation unit
when the filter change indicator appears (rapid-
ly flashing LEDs).
• Never operate the ventilation unit without an air
filter. The ventilation unit becomes dirty and un-
filtered substances can enter the rooms.
• Change the air filter of the ventilation unit when
the filter change indicator appears.
• Generally, change the internal and external fil-
ters together.
• Only use original air filters with the prescribed
filter class. Otherwise there is a danger to he-
alth from harmful substances that can accumu-
late in the air filter.
• Change the air filters regularly, after 6 months
at the latest.
• Replace the air filters even after the ventilation
unit has not been used for a longer period of ti-
me.
Change the air filters as described in the follo-
wing chapters.
Confirm the successful filter change.
