6. Notes on handling
Black plastic case with two foam inserts to accommodate the tools. The contents ba-
sically include two pressure gauges 0...1000 kPa (0...10 bar) (2) and -100...150 kPa
(-1.0...1.5 bar) (17), two drain valves (18), an assortment of different connecting ele-
ments, adapters, hoses, CO adjustment tools, hose clamps and a 16-piece tool set
with commercially available combination wrenches and screwdrivers.
Notes:
Both pressure gauges are designed for use in a vertical position. When de-
pressurized, the pointer may deviate from zero in horizontal position.
• Both pressure gauges with permanently connected drain valve for de-pressurized
working on the fuel circuit.
• All connecting elements with hose connector for quick and easy connection and
disconnection at the hose coupling of one of the two pressure gauges.
• Pressure gauge with kPa (kilopascal) scale to international standard. Reference
value 100 kPa = 1 bar printed on dial.
Bar readings shown by larger printed figures.
• Low-pressure gauge with restrictor and stop of pressure-resistant design. Up to
700 kPa with 10 sec. application time.
• Test pipe for delivery rate measurement for electric fuel pumps. Four connection
options provided by M 14 x 1.5 / M 16 x 1.5 union nuts and size 12 / 14 inlet un-
ions.
• All hoses with smooth surface for reduced wetting by fuel.
• Special CO adjustment tools (21, 22) for various BMW vehicles.
• Hook-type hose clamps (20) for pinching off flexible fuel hoses when testing gaso-
line injection systems.
