Trimming shaped hedges
ig  D
NOTE
Trim hedges in a trapezoidal shape
u
to prevent the lower branches from
becoming bare. This corresponds
to the plant's natural growth and
allows hedges to thrive optimally.
Only the new annual shoots
are reduced during cutting to
allow dense branching and good
protection of privacy.

NOTE
Trim plants while they are young
u
to achieve the desired shape. The
main shoot should be left intact
until the hedge has achieved the
intended height. Cut all other
shoots to half their size.
1. Trim the sides of the hedge. To do
so, move the product from bottom to
top in the direction of growth. If you
cut downwards, thinner branches will
move outwards which may cause
thin patches or gaps.
2. Trim the top edge as desired:
straight, roof-shaped or round.
Cutting free-growing hedges
Free-growing hedges are not to be

trimmed into shapes but still need to
be regularly cut to ensure they do not
become too tall.
