NOTE: This procedure will only
program the remote. Transponder key
blank requires laser cutting for key to
start vehicle.
NOTE: One programmed remote (with
new battery) and key that starts
vehicle must be present to program
new remotes.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Close all doors, trunk/liftgate, hood,
windows and sunroof (if equipped). Enter
vehicle through driver door and close it.
STEP 2:
Insert programming dongle into OBD-II port.
The programmer will beep and the LED will
flash green once to indicate power.
STEP 3:
Insert a working key and turn ignition to key
on, engine off position.
STEP 4:
Wait for programmer to beep twice
and LED to flash orange. This may take up
to 15 seconds.
STEP 5:
Turn ignition off and remove working key.
STEP 6:
Within 10 seconds, insert new key and turn
to key on, engine off position.
STEP 7:
Wait for programmer to beep once and LED
to flash green once. This may take up
to 15 seconds.
STEP 8:
Turn ignition off. Do not remove key.

STEP 9:
Within 10 seconds and using same
new key, turn ignition to key on, engine
off position.
STEP 10:
Wait for programmer to beep once and LED
to flash green once. This may take up
to 15 seconds.
STEP 11:
Turn ignition off. Do not remove key.
STEP 12:
Within 10 seconds and using same
new key, turn ignition to key on, engine
off position.
STEP 13:
Wait while key programs. This may take up
to 30 seconds. Programmer will beep three
times and LED will flash green to indicate
programming is complete and successful.
STEP 14:
Turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition
and programmer from OBD-II port.
STEP 15:
To program additional keys, repeat this
process from Step 2. Make sure to remove
the programmer for at least 30 seconds
between each programming event.
STEP 16:
Open windows, exit vehicle, close all doors
and test all functions on each remote.
Ensure each properly-cut key starts vehicle.
If a key does not function correctly, repeat
programming process from Step 1.
NOTE: If programming is
unsuccessful at any point,
programmer will beep for five
seconds. Unplug programmer, wait
30 seconds and begin this procedure
again from Step 1. If problem
persists, call Technical Support at
1-866-933-2911.
