NOTE: One programmed key that starts the vehicle must be present to
program new remotes. This key can be either a copy or an original key.
NOTE: The new key blade must be cut prior to beginning this programming
procedure. A locksmith with laser key cutting abilities will be needed to cut
the transponder key that will start the vehicle.
NOTE: The new remote will not add any functions not already equipped on
the vehicle.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Close all doors, liftgate, hood, windows and sunroof (if equipped). Enter the vehicle
through the driver's door and close it.
STEP 2:
Insert a programmed key into the ignition and turn to the key on, engine off position.
STEP 3:
Turn the key to the off/lock position and remove it.
STEP 4:
Within five seconds, insert the new, properly-cut key into the ignition.
STEP 5:
Turn the ignition to the key on, engine off position.
STEP 6:
The security light on the dashboard will turn off to indicate successful programming
of the new key.
STEP 7:
Remove the key from the ignition to finalize programming and exit programming
mode.
STEP 8:
Repeat steps 1-7 for each additional new key to be programmed.
STEP 9:
Exit vehicle, close all doors, open windows, and test all functions on each remote.
Ensure each key starts the vehicle.
