INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Remove truck bed, safely raise vehicle off
ground and support vehicle.
STEP 2:
Measure fully extended height of shock
from eyelet of mounting hole on axle (lower
mounting hole) to eyelet of mounting hole
on rear crossmember (upper mounting
A
hole) to match ride height with replacement
part. If shock mount is missing or damaged
beyond repair, reference shock mounting
hole height on opposite side when taking
measurements.

STEP 3:
Using reciprocating saw, cut rear frame
crossmember from spare tire mount.
NOTE: Cut rear crossmember from
spare tire mount carefully, as new
rear crossmember will be welded to
spare tire mount later.
STEP 4:
Cut rear crossmember flush with edges of
frame. Remove rear crossmember.

STEP 5:
Cut weld from outside of frame where
original rear crossmember was welded.
Prepare area for welding, exposing flat, bare
bright metal where crossmember attached
to both inside and outside of frame and
where crossmember attached to spare
tire mount.
STEP 6:
Prepare area for welding, exposing bare
bright metal around edges of new end
plate assemblies and holes in new rear
crossmember.
STEP 7:
Inner frame plate
Slide two inner frame plates onto new
rear crossmember, then move new rear
crossmember into same position as original.
