NOTE: This procedure will only
program the remote. A hardware
store or locksmith must cut
transponder key(s) to start vehicle
prior to this procedure.
NOTE: One programmed remote (with
new battery) and key that starts the
vehicle must be present to program
new remotes.
NOTE: Programming can be affected
by voltage fluctuation. Ensure vehicle
battery voltage of 12.6VDC
is maintained throughout
this entire procedure.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Close all doors, trunk/liftgate, hood,
windows, and sunroof (if equipped). Enter
the vehicle through the driver's door and
close it.
STEP 2:
Insert the programming dongle into the
OBD-II port. The programmer will beep
and the green LED will flash once
to indicate power.
STEP 3:
Insert a working key and turn the ignition to
the key on, engine off position.
STEP 4:
Wait for the programmer to beep once and
flash the green LED.
NOTE: Depending on your vehicle, the
beep may occur after inserting the
working key into the ignition or after
turning it to the key on, engine
off position.
STEP 5:
Turn the ignition to the off position and
remove the working key from the ignition.

STEP 6:
Insert the new key and turn the ignition to
the key on, engine off position.
STEP 7:
Wait for the programmer to beep once and
flash the green LED once.
NOTE: Depending on your vehicle,
the beep may occur after inserting
the new key into the ignition or after
turning it to the key on, engine
off position.
STEP 8:
Wait while the key programs. This may take
up to 45 seconds. The programmer will
beep three times and flash the green LED
to indicate programming is complete
and successful.
STEP 9:
Turn the ignition off. Remove key from
ignition and programmer from OBD-II port.
STEP 10:
To program additional keys, repeat this
process from Step 2. Make sure to remove
the programmer for at least 30 seconds
between each programming event.
STEP 11:
Open windows, exit vehicle, close all doors
and test all functions on each remote.
Ensure each properly cut key starts the
vehicle. If a key does not function correctly,
repeat programming process from Step 1.
NOTE: If programming is
unsuccessful at any point, the
programmer will beep for five
seconds. Unplug the programmer,
wait 30 seconds and begin this
procedure again from Step 1. If the
problem persists, call Technical
Support at 1-866-933-2911.
