NOTE: Transponder key blank requires
laser cutting for key to start vehicle.
NOTE: Programming may take up to, and
in some cases exceed, 10 minutes. Using
a battery charger or power source for
duration of programming procedure
is recommended.
NOTE: One programmed remote (with new
battery) and key that starts vehicle must
be present to program new remotes.
NOTE: Ensure all keys are present when
performing this procedure to avoid
erasing previously programmed keys
not present during programming. Make
sure you can tell which key is your
original working key. If there is no visual
indication, mark original with small piece
of tape.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Close all doors, trunk/liftgate, hood, windows
and sunroof (if equipped). Enter vehicle through
driver door and close it.
STEP 2:
Insert programmer into OBD-II port. Programmer
will beep once and LED will flash green once to
indicate power.
STEP 3:
Insert a working key and start engine. Leave
key in key on, engine on position and wait for
programmer to beep once and LED to flash
orange once.
STEP 4:
Turn engine off. Remove key from ignition.
STEP 5:
Within five seconds, insert a new key and
turn ignition to key on, engine off position.
Programmer will beep once and the LED will flash
green once.
STEP 6:
Wait while programmer accesses vehicle security.
Programmer will alternate between green
and red LED flashes to indicate security access
in progress.

STEP 7:
After security access is complete, programmer
will beep and new key in ignition will be
programmed. After up to fifteen seconds,
programmer will beep three times, vehicle locks
will cycle and hazard lights will flash once to
indicate successful key learn.
STEP 8:
Turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition.
STEP 9:
Insert original working key and turn ignition to key
on, engine off position.
STEP 10:
Wait 15 seconds then start engine. Allow vehicle
to run for at least 30 seconds.
STEP 11:
Turn engine off. Remove key from ignition.
STEP 12:
Wait 10 seconds. Reinsert new key programmed
in Step 7 and start engine. Allow vehicle to run for
at least 30 seconds.
STEP 13:
Turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition and
programmer from OBD-II port.
STEP 14:
To program additional keys, repeat this process
from Step 2. Make sure to remove programmer
for at least 30 seconds between each
programming event.
STEP 15:
Open windows, exit vehicle, close all doors and
test all functions on each remote. If a remote
does not function correctly, repeat programming
process from Step 1.
NOTE: If programming is unsuccessful
at any point, programmer will beep for
five seconds. Unplug programmer, wait
30 seconds and begin this procedure
again from Step 1. If problem persists, call
Technical Support at 1-866-933-2911.
