General information

Typical application for the LevelMaster XS
Capacitive sensor for controlling the level of liquid and viscous products that have adhesive pro-
perties and may be conductive.
Depending on the selected type, this fill level sensor can be used to carry out an analogue fill level
measurement across a defined range. At the same time, it is possible to detect soiling, to activate the
cleaning process or to display changes in the dielectric constant (DC) for quality control purposes.
These devices focus on the dielectric of the medium to be detected for the measurement and this
is why it is relevant for the measurement that the active area of the sensor (= PEEK tip) is fully
immersed in the product to be detected.
The sensors are equipped with our proven EasyTeach function - EasyTeach by Wire (ETW). The
adjustment of the sensitivity on the product to be recorded is therefore very easy and user-friendly
(this can also be programmed remotely from a control room).
Materials like ketchup, mayonnaise, yoghurt, syrup, oil, honey, pastes and liquids containing salt or
acid are reliably detected by the LevelMaster.

For quality control purposes, the empirically
determined starting values can be controlled
and analysed across the following PLC.
In case of any change in materials, the empirically
determined output can be programmed in the
following control program:
product A = value X, product B = value Y,
product C = value Z
In case of any change in product, simply select
the corresponding.
