Adjustment
Empty adjustment
• Fill the container up to the level that you
would like to use as the minimum level
• Connect the Teach wire (Pin 2) to the supply
voltage and keep active until the LED flashes
green (ca 8 sec.)
• Disconnect Teach connection(4 mA or 0 V*)

Full adjustment

• Keep increasing the fill level up to the level that
you want to use as the maximum level. Connect
the Teach wire (Pin 2) to the supply
voltage and keep active until the LED
flashes orange (ca. 20 sec.)
• Disconnect Teach connection (20 mA or 10 V*)
The LED flashes orange with high frequency
during the initialisation process and A1 pulses
accordingly
The full adjustment is complete when the LED
glows constantly orange. The sensor is set to the
sensitivity necessary to recognise the product.
The sensor executes a plausibility check:
Normal operation:
Empty adjustment min.-value < Full adjustment
max.value = relationship correct
Error:
Min.-value > Max.-value = error.
The output switches to a safety position with
a stable output signal of 12 mA or5 V and the
LED is off. In this case, please repeat setting the
minimum and maximum levels.
* Type-dependent also in reverse 20...4 mA optional 10...0 V.
Important:
Within the permissible range, the
LED glows orange; outside the
permissible range the LED glows
green.
In case of a fault, the LED is off.
Please repeat the minimum and
maximum level calibrations.
Test
To test the control connected to the sensor,
use the test function.
Attention: During the test function,
the previously set value is deleted!
• Connect the Teach wire (Pin 2) to the
supply voltage and keep active until the
LED flashes orange / green (ca. 30 sec.)
and the output pulses at the same time
You can exit the test mode by deactivating
the connection with the Teach wire.
