At the start of a cruise.

• Check the level of the cooling liquid in the filler/expansion
tank.
• Check that the switch on the control handle is in the 'Off' posi-
tion.
• Put the handle in the 'Neutral' position.
• Switch the (battery) main switch on.
• Turn the switch on the control handle to the 'On' position.
The light on the handle will now illuminate.

During a cruise

Operate the handle.
Move the handle from the 'Neutral' position to the 'Ahead' or
'Astern' position; the motor will now start running at a very low
speed. Move the handle further toward the end of its travel to
increase the motor speed.
When the handle is moved from maximum forward to maximum
reverse, or vice-versa, the motor will stop and then immediately
reverse direction of rotation.
