Cleaning and care of the appliance

=
Before the appliance is cleaned, it must be switched off and
allowed to sufficiently cool down.
=
Parts of the appliance or accessories that come into contact with
food must be thoroughly rinsed with drinking water after being
cleaned with cleaning agents.

Stainless steel surfaces

Clean the metal surfaces with the usual cleaning agents for stainless
steel (see also page 25). Avoid abrasive cleaning agents.

Glass ceramic hob

- The hob should be cleaned after every use.
=
The hob must have sufficiently cooled down before cleaning
(hand-warm).
You may cool it with a cold wet cloth.
- If the appliance is not particularly dirty, use a damp cloth with a little
hand washing-up liquid.
- If the hob is heavily soiled, first scrape away the worst parts with
the glass ceramic cleaning scraper supplied. Remove the remaining
dirt with the special glass ceramic cleaner "O-Fix-C".
Then remove the cleaning agent residue with an adequate amount
of clear water and dry the hob with a clean cloth.
- Remove burnt-in sugar or molten plastic immediately while the
cooking surface is still hot using a cleaning scraper. Then clean as
described above.
- The glass ceramic hob should be treated once a week after cleaning
with the glass ceramic cleaning agent "Cleaner". (Do not use for
glass ceramic frying plates!)
It forms a film which reduces the amount of cleaning needed in the
future.
- Gritty dirt (e.g. sand) must be completely removed from the hob as
it causes scratches on the hob when saucepans are moved.
Avoid abrasive cleaning agents.
=
Observe the instructions for use and safety notes on the cleaning
and care agents used.
