To adjust the tension of the drive belt
The tension of the drive belt is correct when the
adjustment nut is opposite the mark on the drive belt
cover.
1. Loosen the 2 bolts that hold the cutting head to the
product.

2. Turn the adjuster screws (A) until the adjustment nut
(B) is opposite the mark on the drive belt cover.

3. Use a combination wrench and tighten the 2 bolts
that hold the cutting head to the product.
Starter housing
WARNING:
always use eye protection when you replace
the recoil spring or the starter rope. There is
tension in the recoil spring when it is wound
in the starter housing. The recoil spring can
eject and cause injury.
To remove the starter housing
1. Loosen the 4 screws on the starter housing.
2. Remove the starter housing.
