MAIN BRUSH
The main brush sweeps dust and refuse into the refuse container at the rear
of the sweeper.
!
Warning !
Never sweep up string, wire, etc., which can become entangled in the
brush and damage the bristles.
Removing/mounting the main brush
The main brush can be removed from the left side of the sweeper. You need
to proceed this way:
- Open the brush inspection hatch 6;
- Untighten the nut 1;
- Disconnect the drive lever and roller 2;
- Remove the brush 3.
- Fit the main brush and centre the notches with the fi ns on the right-
hand side drive support.
- Fit the assembly 2 on the brush; the holes 4 must mate with the studs 5.
- Tighten the nut 1 until the drive support engages with the brush.
Adjusting the main brush
(see "controls" - fi g.1 - point 11)

Warning!
Whenever the main brush is removed, remember to adjust the
position of the brush to ensure perfect contact with the ground.

Warning!
When fi tting the main brush, follow the assembly direction (9).
Replacing the main brush driving belts
Replace the drive belts on the right side of the machine, proceed as follows:
- Open door 7
- Loosen the tightener 8 and remove belt "X"
- Loosen the tightener 9 and remove belt "Y"
- Mount the new belts
- Repeat the same operations in opposite way
Adjusting tension of the main brush driving belts
If the belts are loosen proceed to the its tension:
(tightener 8)
- Loosen counternut A.
- Turn clockwise the knob B to tensioning the belt X.
- Tighten the counternut A.
(tightener 9)
- By the nut C loosen the tightener and tensioning the belt Y.
- Tighten nut C.

Warning!
The belt tension must be set correctly! It must not be too taut as
this will generate excessive loads on the bearings.

El cepillo central es la pieza que carga la basura en el contenedor posterior.

¡Atención!
No recoger nunca cuerdas, alambres, etc. puesto que podrían en-
rollarse en el cepillo y deteriorar las cerdas.
Desmontaje/montaje del cepillo central
El cepillo central se desmonta por el lado izquierdo de la barredora y las ope-
raciones de desmontaje y montaje deben efectuarse siempre en el orden si-
guiente:
- Abrir la compuerta 6 de inspección del cepillo central.
- Afl ojar el tornillo 1.
- Extraer el conjunto de la palanca y el rodillo de arrastre 2.
- Extraer el cepillo 3.
- Colocar el cepillo central y centrar las muescas con las aletas sobre el soporte de
arrastre del lado derecho.
- Montar el grupo 2 en el cepillo ; los orifi cios 4 deben acoplarse con las
clavijas 57.
- Enroscar el tornillo 1 hasta que el soporte de arrastre quede encajado
en el cepillo.
Regulación del cepillo central

¡Atención!
Cuando se desmonta el cepillo central, hay que acordarse de re-
gular el cepillo en la posición adecuada para que esté en perfec-
to contacto con el terreno.

¡Atención!
Al montar el cepillo central, hay que fi jarse en el sentido correcto
de montaje (9).
Sustitución de las correas de mando del cepillo central
Las correas se desmontan por el lado derecho de la barredora efectuar la ope-
ración en la siguiente manera:
- Abrir la compuerta 7 de inspección de las correas.
- Afl ojar el tensor 8 y remover la correa "X".
- Afl ojar el tensor 8 y remover la correa "Y".
- Montar las nuevas correas
- Repetir la misma operación en el sentido contrario.
Regulación de la tensión de las correas de mando del cepillo
central
Si las correas se han aflojado proceder al tensado, en el orden siguiente:
(tensor 8)
- Afl ojar la contratuerca A.
- Volver el pomo B en el sentido horario para tensar la correa X.
- Apretar la contratuerca A.
(tensor 9)
- Afl ojar la tuerca C para afl ojar el tensor y tensar la correa Y
- Apretar la tuerca C.

¡Atención!
El tensado de la correa se debe efectuar en modo correcto; la cor-
rea no debe estar muy tensada para no forzar los cojinetes.
