16.3 Place the Stent in the Introducer Tube
1. Apply lubrication on the opening of the introducer tube.
2. Introduce the introducer tube as far as it will go into the proximal end
of the folding device ("INTRODUCER TUBE" marking).
For type TD / TF ≥ 18 mm, Y, OKI stents: Ensure that the NOVATECH
logo on the introducer tube is facing up. This way, the studded, frontal
part of the stent is on the same side of the introducer tube as the
NOVATECH logo.
3. Place the introducer tube with the folding device on a solid, level surface
vertically and hold in place. The folding device is facing up. Introduce
the loading rod from the top as far as it will go into the folding device to
advance the stent into the introducer tube.
ATTENTION: Hold the folding device with one hand to make sure that it
stays closed. Do not move the locking mechanism on the folding device.
Otherwise the folding device will open.
