5 - Recognition of limit positions on opening and closing with the use
of MEIN family inverter
5 positions can be programmed, as described below:
Position
LED
Meaning
A1
L1
Maximum opening position. When the door reaches
this position it stops
RA1
L2
Position when the deceleration starts during the
opening manoeuvre. When the door reaches this po-
sition, the motor decelerates and reaches the mini-
mum speed.
AP
L5
Partial opening position. It is the position in which the
door stops after giving a partial opening command.
RA0
L7
Position when the deceleration starts during the clos-
ing manoeuvre. When the door reaches this position,
the motor decelerates and reaches the minimum
speed.
A0
L8
Maximum closing position. When the door reaches
this position it stops.
Caution! - If the direction of rotation does not correspond to the direction
set (Open = opening direction), you must leave the "Recognition of open-
ing and closing positions" procedure and activate the function "Inverted
rotation direction"; refer to Table 5.
To carry out the procedure, proceed as described below:
01.
Press and hold down [Set]
and [Close] keys for 3
seconds to start the position
memorisation phase.
LED L1 flashes: programming
position A1
02.
Use the [Open] or [Close] key to move the door to the maximum
opening position.
03.
Press the [Set] key for 3 sec-
onds to confirm position A1.
LED L1 stays on.
LED L2 flashes: programming
position RA1
04.
If you do not wish to program the opening deceleration position,
quickly press the [Set] key twice to move to the new programming
stage. LED L2 stays off.
Otherwise continue the sequence.
05.
Use the [Open] or [Close] key to move the door to the opening
deceleration position.
06.
Press the [Set] key for 3 sec-
onds to confirm position AP.
LED L5 stays on.
LED L7 flashes: programming
position RA0
07.
If you do not wish to program the partial opening position, quickly
press the [Set] key twice to move to the new programming stage.
LED L5 stays off.
Otherwise continue the sequence.

To run the procedure, the motor must be electrically connected to the limit switch
board with 7/8 cams (fig. 1). The board can be accessed only after unscrew-
ing the guard-limit switch cover. Caution! - If the direction of rotation does
not correspond to the direction set (Open = opening direction), you must
invert the "V" and "W" connections (phase inversion) in the motor connec-
tor (fig. 19 - Refer to the full instruction manual).
To carry out the procedure, proceed as described below:
01.
Press and hold down [Set]
and [Close] keys for 3
seconds to start the position
memorisation phase.
LED L1 flashes: programming
position A1
02.
Use the [Open] or [Close] key to move the door to the maximum
opening position.
03.
Press the [Set] key for 3 sec-
onds to confirm position A1.
