4. Route the vehicle Lap Belt through Belt
Path Opening, under SafeLock along
Belt Path, and through other Belt Path
Opening. BUCKLE THE BELT. Make
sure the Lap Belt lays flat and is not
twisted.
The vehicle belt should ALWAYS
be routed UNDER the Safelock Belt
Tensioner. NEVER place a vehicle belt
over the Safelock Belt Tensioner, even in
a vehicle with longer Buckle Stalks.
NOTE: Make sure that vehicle belt
buckle and hardware do not interfere
with correct installation of the Base and/
or the rotation/recline of the Adapter.
5. On the Buckle side, remove slack
from the Lap Belt, being careful not
to overtighten. The SafeLock Belt
Tensioner will tighten the system fully.
After removing slack, secure the free
end of the Lap Belt under the SafeLock
Belt Tensioner.
