Defective coils can be detected when switching the
system on. In cyclical operation, diagnosis
messages are only sent if changes have been
detected. Open load is reported immediately, the
valve does not need to be triggered.
Bit 3 = 0
If the DDL fails, the output data will be set to 0 in the
valve terminal system.
Bit 3 = 1
If the DDL fails, the output data will be saved in the
valve terminal system and the coils will still be
triggered (freeze values).
Changed parameters are only accepted once the
device has been switched off and on again or at
initialization.

3.5 Connections

Fig. 2:
Plug connectors
Plug connectors may not be plugged in or pulled
under load.
The power supply for the LP04 valve terminal
system comes from the DDL. Please note that the
maximum voltage (3 A with 24 V and 4 A with 0 V)
may not be exceeded.
The voltage that comes from the bus module via
DDL IN (XPD2) is sent to DDL OUT (XPD1) and serves
to supply further DDL participants with power.

3.5.1 DDL data line

The valve terminal system is connected to the bus
module or other DDL participants with the DDL IN
(panel plug) and DDL OUT (panel jack) plugs.
The DDL power supply for the valve terminal system
is not resistant against polarity reversal, other DDL
participants can also be damaged if 24 V is present
in the DDL H and DDL L signal lines. Due to this, we
recommend using ready-made cables (see DDL -
System description, chapter 5 DDL - accessories).
NOTICE
CAUTION
The assignment of the DDL connections are
described in DDL - System description,
2.4 DDL - Data.
The DDL terminator plug (see DDL - System
description, chapter 5 DDL - accessories) is needed
if the valve terminal system is the last or only
participant in a DDL line. This guarantees a defined
line termination and the valve terminal system thus
fulfils the requirements for the IP65 protection
class.
