Work steps at a glance
1. Search participant.
2. Participant is displayed.
Select participant.
3. Assign and allocate suitable IP address and subnet mask.
Example: 192.168.0.3/255.255.255.0.
4. Assign product name.
The name may only occur once in the system configuration.

5. Assign the previously assigned IP address and product name to the partici-
pant.
Example: "cms2".
The manually or automatically assigned IP addresses must be entered in the con-
figured participants.
7.3 Step-by-step commissioning
If you have carried out and completed all preparation work, you can commission
the system.
8 Operation
8.1 Basic requirements
General requirements
• Ensure sufficient air exchange if the product meets the following conditions:
– Permanent load of the solenoid coils
– Fully equipped
– Increased ambient temperature
• Never switch off, modify or bypass safety devices.
• Do not make any changes to the configuration and hardware during opera-
tion.
• Do not cover product.
In case of malfunctions during operation
• In case of a malfunction that presents an immediate danger for employees or
systems: Switch off product.
• Carry out analysis and troubleshooting of malfunctions. See
bleshooting.
• Observe LEDs and diagnoses. See
8.2 Commissioning the bus coupler
1. Bring system into a defined state.
2. Set all manual overrides to position "0".
3. Switch on the operating voltage.
4. Check LED displays on all modules.
5. Switch on the compressed air supply.
9 Service
9.1 Inspection
9.1.1 General requirements
Use in normal ambient conditions
• Inspection interval: The product must be checked monthly for contamination
and damage.
• The system owner specifies the inspection intervals in line with the ambient
conditions at the operating site.
Use in aggressive ambient conditions
Aggressive ambient conditions include, for example:
• High temperatures
• Heavy accumulation of dirt
• Proximity to grease-dissolving liquids or vapors
Aggressive ambient conditions lead to further requirements for inspection:
• Adapt the inspection interval for seals to the ambient conditions.
9.1.2 Procedure
Preparation
1. Do not carry out any work on the system during preparation.
2. Close off dangerous areas.
