WARNING
Risk of explosion!
If non-original Dräger battery boxes are used, an explosion may occur.
► Only use battery box Dräger LBT 03** (see "Accessories and spare parts",
page 52).
2. Insert the battery box (Fig. A 2).
3. Close the gas detector:
a. Place the housing cover (Fig. A 1) in its final position (Dräger logo is
horizontal).
b. Turn the housing cover under slight pressure approx. 20°
counterclockwise until the housing cover rests on the sealing ring on the
housing.
c. Press the housing cover forcefully and evenly onto the sealing ring.
d. Slowly turn the housing cover approx. 20° clockwise to the stop in the
end position.
e. Screw in the locking screw (Fig. A 14) until the housing cover is
prevented from being screwed open.
NOTICE
► If a new battery pack has been inserted, reset the battery counter.

Resetting the battery counter
Can be performed within 10 minutes of switching on the gas detector.
Resetting the battery counter:
● Hold magnetic pin onto mark (Fig. A 12) for 5 seconds.
 Blue and yellow LEDs are activated simultaneously for 5 seconds.
✓ The battery counter is reset.
This feature is also available in PolySoft. It can be executed at any time.

Commissioning
1. Turn on the power supply or install the battery box (see "Installing the
battery box", page 39).
 Start sequence begins.
Green LED flashes.
 LED test in progress.
Yellow and red LEDs flash (repeater: Yellow only).
 Warm-up phase 1 starts.
Measured value status is "Bad" (substatus "warm-up phase 1") and
yellow LED flashes, blue LED flashes (Bluetooth
 The start sequence is complete and the gas detector is ready for
operation.
 Warning signal is output.
Green and yellow LEDs flash.
2. Integrate the gas detector into the network (see "Network integration",
page 40).
3. Wait for warm-up phase 1 and 2.
The duration of the warm-up phase depends on the sensor used (see
sensor data sheet).
Settings with PolySoft can already be made.
 At the end of warm-up phase 1, the measured value is available, the
measured value status is "Good" and the yellow LED is off.
4. Calibrate the gas detector (see "Calibration", page 42) as soon as warm-up
phase 2 is completed.
5. Test the signal chain by applying target gas to the sensor.

Network integration
For network integration, also pay attention to the documentation of the Access
Point and System Manager used.
For a Yokogawa infrastructure, the creation of a YPIF file (consignment file) is
supported by PolySoft.
