Dräger Polytron
6100 EC WL
®
The Dräger Polytron
6100 EC WL is a fixed gas detector for monitoring toxic
gases and oxygen. The gas detector includes a repeater feature for forwarding
data from other ISA100 Wireless
Operation is carried out with a battery pack or a wired power supply.
The gas detector is integrated into a ISA100 Wireless
manager, access point, and controller. You may use the Dräger
®
REGARD
7000 or a PLC as a controller, for instance. Ranges between access
point and gas detector are up to 500 m in a free-field environment.
Operation and configuration
The general device status is signaled via the LED display.
Operation and configuration are carried out with the DrägerPolySoft
configuration software. Connection to PolySoft is via the ISA100 Wireless
®
network or the built-in Bluetooth
interface.
Contact the Dräger sales team for obtaining the DrägerPolySoft
configuration software. The software can be downloaded from
www.draeger.com/software.
Operation
A ISA100 Wireless
process interface transmits the gas reading (PV),
measured value status (PV_STATUS) and device status (DIAG_STATUS) to the
controller.
Alarms
The alarms configured in the gas detector are not transmitted via the ISA100
Wireless process interface. Alarms are output via the red LED only. They are
purely informative and are used to locate a gas detector raising the alarm and
are not intended for the derivation of a safety task or action. The alarms are
non-latching. When alarm conditions are resolved, the alarm is no longer
displayed.
If alarm logic is used for countermeasures, implement alarm logic in the
controller.
