REMOVING BRACKET FROM TRANSDUCER
1. Pull bracket away from transducer to remove. Bracket may come off transducer forcefully. Remove with
caution.

REPROCESSING
WARNING
Users of this product have an obligation and responsibility to provide the highest degree of infection

control to patients, co-workers and themselves. To avoid cross-contamination, follow infection control
policies established by your facility.
Dispose of single-use components as infectious waste. Clean and disinfect reusable components after

each use.
See your ultrasound system's user guide for reprocessing transducer between use.

This procedure for reprocessing has been validated for effectiveness and compatibility. Device could be
n
damaged or cross-contaminated due to improper reprocessing.
Do not gas sterilize or autoclave bracket.

If bracket damage is evident, discontinue use and contact your CIVCO representative.

CLEANING
1. After each use, discard single-use, disposable components and keep bracket from drying out until complete
cleaning can be accomplished.
2. Inspect bracket for damage such as cracks or breakage.
MANUAL CLEANING
NOTE: Manual cleaning efficacy of this process was proven using Enzol
1. Rinse bracket and pin under cold running utility water for one minute to remove gross soil. During rinse,
brush all surfaces with soft-bristled brush while actuating moveable parts. Ensure all cracks, crevices, and
hard-to-reach areas are brushed.
2. Prepare detergent solution following manufacturer's instructions for use.
3. Fully immerse bracket and pin in prepared detergent solution and allow to soak at least the minimum
contact time listed in solution manufacturer's instructions for use. Brush all surfaces with soft-bristled brush
while actuating moveable parts. Ensure all cracks, crevices, and hard-to-reach areas are brushed.
4. If visible soil still exists, repeat Step 3.
5. Rinse bracket and pin under cold running utility water for one minute.
