8 Operation

8.1 Initial operation

Before initial operation, the system must be flushed
thoroughly with due consideration of the permissible
operating pressures.
NOTICE
The "Regudis W" dwelling stations are leak tested
at works.
Before initial operation, tightness has to be
checked by submitting the complete system to a
pressure test.
Damage to property caused by pressure
impacts
Sudden pressure impacts when opening the ball
valves may lead to damage to property! For this
reason:
– Always open ball valves slowly
– Open ball valve of the cold water supply first
(flow direction)
Moreover, the system has to flushed thoroughly
with due consideration of the permissible opera-
ting pressures.
When the potable water circuit is closed, the
permissible working pressure can be exceeded!
All ball valves must be in the open position during
operation!
Illustr. 8.1 Installation position of strainers
The following points must be observed during initial
operation:
– Clean strainer in the supply pipe (11). For this
purpose, flush out the dirt via the draining valve or
unscrew the draining valve and clean it under
running water.
– Clean both strainers in the return of the heating
circuit (10). For this purpose, flush out the dirt via
the draining valve or unscrew the draining valve and
clean it under running water.

8.2 Filling and bleeding
DANGER
Imminent danger to life and limb
The fluid escaping during bleeding can be very
hot. Wear protective clothing and cover vent hole
with a cloth if required!

Illustr. 8.2 Bleeding
Flush heating system thoroughly before initial
operation!
– Fill system completely and bleed heating circuit
with the venting valve (6).
– Bleed capillary (4a) of the differential pressure
regulator (4):
– To do so, loosen screw (4b) slightly, spanner size
8, so that the air can escape.
– Bleed until only heating fluid is escaping.
– Tighten screw and check connection for leaks.
– Bleed potable water circuit with the venting valve
(12) or by drawing off water at maximum capacity
(air is flushed out).
8.2 Functional control
The following points must be observed for a functional
control of the dwelling station "Regudis W":
11
When using a heat meter, no volume flow must be
10
shown if the heating circuit of the dwelling is closed
and the draw off is not in operation!
Heating circuit to the dwelling:
– Open heating circuit / radiator valves of the
dwelling.
– Check whether the required flow temperature (e.g.
65 °C) is reached at the connections D and F (illustr.
4.3).
– Check whether the required return temperature
(e.g. 50°C) is reached at the connections E and G
(illustr. 4.3). Adjust setting of the radiator lockshield
valves in the heating circuit if required.
– The heat exchanger must not heat up during
heating operation!
