7.5.11 Threshold value for signal quality
(available only for BML SL1-ALZ1-UEZZ-_U1L-...)
The threshold value (Index 0x00CE) can be 0...100%.
Setting the threshold value to 255% (0xFF), deactivates
threshold value monitoring.
If the signal quality is less than or equal to the threshold
value, then status bit 4 (see Tab. 7-3 on page 25) is set
and the event Low Signal Quality Level (see Section 7.6.2
on page 39) is output.

7.5.13 Access locks (Device Access Locks)
With this standard parameter (Index 0x000C (12)), it is
possible to activate or deactivate certain functions of the
IO-Link device.
With the BML SL1, there is the option to lock the function
of the parameter manager and the button. To do so, the
respective bit of the 2-byte value must be set to 1 (locked).
In order to unlock the function again, the bit is set to 0.
