SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

1.
Always check garment labels for ironing instructions before ironing a garment.
2.
If you do not have the ironing instructions at hand, the table below may help you.
3.
Sort laundry before ironing: wool with wool, cotton with cotton etc. Start ironing the fabrics requiring
the lowest temperature and then progress to those requiring a higher temperature as it takes more
time for the iron to cool down than to heat up.
4.
If the fabric consists of various kinds of fibres (e.g. cotton with polyester) you must always select the
ironing temperature for the fabric with the lowest recommended temperature.
5.
Pure wool garments (100% wool) should preferably be ironed with the iron on the steam setting.
Select a high steam setting and use a dry ironing cloth.
6.
Turn the temperature control to the desired temperature setting.
7.
The desired temperature has been reached when the indicator light has gone off. The indicator light
will turn on and off from time to time, indicating that the selected temperature is being maintained.
