PRE-USE RECOMMENDATIONS
1.
Some of the iron components have been slightly greased and could cause the iron to smoke slightly
when switched on for the first time. This will only happen the first few times of use.
2.
Remove protective wrappings and labels from the soleplate and clean it with a soft, damp cloth.
3.
When using the iron for the first time, test it on an old piece of fabric to ensure that the soleplate and
water tank are completely clean.
4.
Wait for about three minutes before ironing heat-sensitive fabrics. The temperature needs some
time to adjust to the required level, whether higher or lower.
5.
Delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, velour, etc. are best ironed with an ironing cloth to prevent shine
marks.
6.
Turn the temperature control to the desired setting by aligning the setting on the dial with the
temperature indicator. The indicator light will go on to indicate that the iron is heating to the selected
temperature. When the indicator light goes off, the iron is at the selected temperature and ready for
use.
