Add additives to the fluid on the pressure side of the pump, even
if this is contrary to the recommendations of the additive manufac-
turer.
▪ Use only branded products with corrosion protection inhibitors!
▪ Comply with the chloride content of the top-up water according to
the manufacturer's instructions! Chloride containing soldering
pastes are not permitted!
▪ Follow the safety data sheets and manufacturer's instructions!
Salty fluids
CAUTION
Material damage due to salty fluids!
Salty fluids (e.g. carbonates, acetates or formates) are very cor-
rosive and can damage the pump!
▪ Fluid temperatures above 40 °C are not permitted for salty fluids!
▪ Use a corrosion inhibitor and constantly check its concentration!

CAUTION
Material damage can occur due to the accumulation of
chemicals!
When changing, refilling or replenishing the fluid with additives,
there is a risk of material damage caused by the accumulation of
chemicals.
▪ Rinse the pump separately and thoroughly. Ensure the old fluid has
been completely removed from the interior of the pump!
▪ Remove pump before change in pressure flushes!
▪ For chemical flushing measures:
– Remove the pump from the system for the duration of cleaning!
Drinking water pumps:
The smart-pumps of the Stratos MAXO-Z series are coordinated
specifically for operating conditions in domestic hot water circula-
tion systems through a selection of materials and their design, tak-
ing account of the guidelines of the German Environmental Agency
(Umweltbundesamt):
▪ Drinking water acc. to EC Drinking Water Directive.
WARNING
Health hazard!
Because of the materials used, pumps of the Stratos
MAXO/ -D series are unsuitable for use in applica-
tions involving drinking water or foodstuffs.
