Safety instructions
Make sure the motor is stopped before you
remove any cuttings.
When leaving / transporting the machine:
Switch off the machine
Remove the battery
Put on the blade guard
Never hold the machine by its cutting blade
Only carry the machine using its handle.
Before starting work, search through the
hedge to be cut to see if there are any con-
cealed objects such as: wire fences, in order
to avoid injuries.
Regularly check the machine is in good
working order.
Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
They can cause irreparable damage to the
machine.
After use, remove the battery and check the
machine for damage.
Electrical malfunctions are only allowed to be
rectified by authorised specialist workshops.
WARNING!
This electrical tool produces an electro-
magnetic field during operation. Under
certain circumstances, this field may im-
pair active or passive medical implants.
In order to reduce the risk of serious or
fatal injury, we recommend that any per-
sons fitted with medical implants should
consult their doctor and the manufactu-
rer of the medical implant before opera-
ting the electrical tool.
START-UP
CAUTION!
Always perform a visual check prior to
start-up.

Do not use damaged batteries. Danger
of fire!

Danger of explosion and fire!
The charger heats up during charging.
Do not place it on a flammable surface or
in a flammable environment.

Charging the battery
For more information about charging the battery,
refer to the separate instructions for the battery
and the charger.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery along the guide until the con-
tact socket on the battery is firmly located on
the contact plug of the machine (2).
Removing the battery
1. Press the lock (6-1).
2. Pull the battery out of the machine.
OPERATION
Starting the hedge trimmer
1. Standard securely.
2. With one hand, grip the front handle and then
grip the rear handle with your other hand.
3. Press both switching buttons on the grip bars
(3-1, 3-2); the machine starts operating.
4. Keep both switching buttons pressed while
you are working.
5. The hedge trimmer will switch off as soon as
a switch button is released.

WORKING INSTRUCTIONS

Always cut the two sides of a hedge first, fol-
lowed by the top. This prevents cut material
from falling into areas that you have not trim-
med yet (5).
Hedges should always be trimmed into a
trapezoidal shape (tapering toward the top).
This prevents the leaves on the lower bran-
ches from being shaded out
Make sure the motor is stopped before you
remove any cuttings.
When leaving / transporting the machine:
Switch off the machine
Remove the battery
Put on the blade guard
After use, remove the battery and check the
machine for damage.
