When you activate the Auto exposure button the reader will automatically deter-
mine a suggestion for the optimum image brightness.
You will usually work with the internal lighting of the reader. However, in special cas-
es the use of an external lighting element can be useful. In that case the internal light-
ing can be switched off.

If direct reflections can be seen in the image it may be useful to mount the sensor in a tilted
position at an angle of up to 45° to the code plane. This will cause a trapezoidal distortion of
the code. It is acceptable to a certain degree, depending on the size of the code.
