6. Troubleshooting
6.1 General information
•
Observe the safety information
•
Only qualified and authorised persons may carry out re-
pair work
•
In case of faults, the operating and maintenance instruc-
tions must be referred to for correct operation and main-
tenance.
•
If the cause of the fault cannot be located or remedied, an
authorised Ammann Service Centre should be contacted.
•
Always first check the most likely causes (fuses, LEDs,
etc.)
6.2 Fault table
Possible cause
Engine does not start
Fuel deficiency
Fuel valve closed
No fuel supply at carburettor
Engine switch set to «OFF»
No spark at spark plug
If the engine still does not start, contact an authorised Ammann or Honda Service Centre.
Reduced engine performance
Air filter clogged
Engine runs, machine does not move forward
Insufficient V-belt tension
V-belt broken
Centrifugal clutch lining worn
Remedy
Refill fuel
Set fuel valve to «OPEN»
Check
Set engine switch to «ON»
Check
Clean air filter; replace if necessary
Retention V-belt
Replace V-belt
Replace linings and springs

Remarks
To check, loosen drain screw on carburettor
(fuel valve set to «OPEN»)
Remove plug connector. Clean base of spark
plug.
Fit spark plug in plug connector.
Hold side electrode of spark plug against any
point of the engine, pull out the starter cable
and check for spark information.

No spark ð replace plug
Spark ð fit plug and attempt to start engine
