HEIGHT OF CUT ADJUSTMENT
Magna (Fixed Head)
The height of cut can be set from 13mm (½") to
85mm (3 5/16").
There are two methods of adjustment:
1.
Fine adjustment (fig. 70) adjusting range
2 1/16". the lower setting the height of cut can
be adjusted from 13mm (½") to 65mm (2 9/16")
by means of the rear roll adjusters.
To adjust:
(a)
Release nuts (A) which clamp the skids
to the side frames.
(b)
Turn adjusters (B) clockwise (-) to reduce
the height of cut, or anticlockwise (+) to
increase the height of cut.
(c)
Both sides should be equally adjusted,
tighten clamp nuts (A) securely.
(d)
Ensure that the same adjustment is
carried out on all units.
(e)
It will be necessary to finally trim the
units to ensure an even height of cut
across the machine.
2.
Quick adjustment (fig. 71)
Three settings at 10mm (3/8") intervals are
provided in the mounting bracket (A) and can
be used as follows:
(a)
Slacken nut and bolt (B) until the locating
collars (C) are free.
(b)
Move the cutting unit up or down to the
required setting, relocate collars (C) and
re-tighten bolt and nut securely.
HEIGHT OF CUT:
Sportcutter (Floating Head)
The cutting height is determined by the position of the
side skids and rolls in relation to the bottom blade and
is adjustable between 13 and 65mm (½ and 2 9/16")
in the floating head position and 13 and 85mm (½ and
3 5/16") in the fixed position.
Floating head configuration
1.
Release the two nuts (A fig. 72) which secure
the skids to the main frame.
2.
Turn the adjusters (B fig. 72) clockwise to
reduce the height of cut or anticlockwise to
increase the height of cut.
3.
After adjustment, re-tighten the nuts securely.
