4. P.T.O. Gearbox: Remove the filler and level
plugs from the gearbox (fig. 66) and check the oil
level. If necessary top up with S.A.E. 30 oil.
NOTE: To obtain the correct level the gearbox should
be on the tractor and the tractor on level ground.
CUTTING UNIT GEARBOX
5. During overhaul
(a) When rebuilding a cutting unit after dismantling
for overhaul, the unit gearboxes should be
cleaned and repacked with non-tracking
grease, Shell Simnia 'O' or Retinax 'G' grease
approximately half full).
(b) Lubricate cutting cylinder adjusting screws and
clamp pivots with Molybdenum Disulphide
grease.
