4 Installation
Caution
Cables with high levels of noise can cause electromag
netic interference. Do not place the connecting cable
for the handheld in the vicinity of cables with high le
vels of interference:
Caution
An incorrect connection assignment may cause damage
to the handheld. Use only the original cables type
KV−M12−M12−3,5 and type KV−M12−M12−1,5 (each can
also be used as an extension cable).
The power supply for the handheld is provided by the con
nected device.
Connect the handheld to the service interface of the
S
device.
Caution
The maximum permitted cable length is 15 m.
Fasten the plugs and sockets of the cables with the aid of
the union nut in order to prevent unintentional loosening,
e.g. due to shock.
The cable from the handheld to the device can be con
nected or disconnected during operation. It is not necess
ary to switch off the device.
