Operation

7.1

Authorisation

u Authorise (dependent on the configuration).
The following authorisation options are available:
No authorisation (Autostart)
All users can charge.
Authorisation via the enable input
Authorisation takes place as soon as the enable in-
put is activated by a switching contact.
For control via a switching contact with a pulse sig-
nal:
If charging does not start within 5 minutes,
the authorisation is reset and the product
switches to Standby mode. The authorisa-
tion process must be repeated.
7.2

Charging the vehicle

WARNING
Risk of injury from using unsuitable aids
If unsuitable aids (e.g. adapter plugs, extension
cables) are used during the charging process, there
is a risk of electric shock or cable fire.
u Use only the charging cable intended for the
vehicle and the product.
Requirement(s):
ü The authorisation process is complete (if neces-
sary).
ü The vehicle and the charging cable are suitable
for Mode 3 charging.
u Unroll the charging cable completely.
u Connect the charging cable to the vehicle.
Charging process does not start
If the charging process does not start, the commu-
nication between the charging point and the
vehicle may be faulty, for example.
u Check the charging plug and the charging
socket for foreign objects and remove if neces-
sary.
u Have the charging cable replaced by a qualified
electrician if necessary.
Ending the charging process
ATTENTION
Material damage due to tensile stress
Tensile stress on the cable may cause cable breaks
and other damage.
u Pull the charging plug out of the charging
socket.
u End the charging process at the vehicle by re-
setting the enable input.
u Pull the charging plug out of the charging
socket.
u Put the protective cap on the charging plug.
u Hang the charging cable kink-free.
