Fault
The plastic strap is not aligning
correctly the welding point is
not in the centre.
The lower strap isn‟t locked
between the grippers and slips
forward during tension
operation.
Seal too much welded, the
strap is breaking during the
welding/cutting operation.
Welding time is hardly
adjustable and not constant.
Plastic strap welded incorrect,
sealing not O.K. Upper strap
isn‟t completely cut and cutting
isn‟t constant.

Wrong strap dimension setting
or strap guides defective.
Tension force is too high.
Use of inappropriate plastic
strap.
Gripper plates are dirty or
defective.
Use of inappropriate plastic
strap.
Welding time too long.
Time valve in the compressed
air valve (505) dirty or
defective.
Cutter (21) and gripper plate,
welding (24) are worn or
defective.
Welding time too short.
Welding motor (501) is dirty or
blocked.
Error in compressed air
system.
Compressed air valve (505)
defective.
Pressure spring (20) defective.
Use of inappropriate plastic
strap.

Remedy
Check strap dimension and
adjust strap guides correctly, if
necessary replace strap
guides, see 8.3
Set the correct tension force,
see 8.2.
Use appropriate plastic strap,
ask your TITAN – Adviser for
advice.
Clean gripper plates or replace
them if they are defective, see
9.3 – 9.4.
Use appropriate plastic strap,
ask your TITAN – Adviser for
advice.
Set the correct welding time,
see 8.1
Clean time valve in the
compressed air valve (505) and
lubricate or replace it, contact
TITAN – Service.
Replace cutter (21) and gripper
plate, welding (24), see 9.1 and
9.4
Check welding time and
increase it if necessary, see
8.1.
When welding motor (501) is
dirty or blocked contact TITAN
– Service.
Check constant air pressure
and repair it if necessary.
Check function of compressed
air valve (505) and contact
TITAN – Service if it‟s
defective.
Replace pressure spring (20).
Use appropriate plastic strap,
ask your TITAN – Adviser for
advice.
