Technical refinements
of the Aquatimer Automatic
Your IWC watch shows you the time in hours, minutes
and seconds as well as the date. The duration of the
dive is read off on the bezel housed inside the case,
which for safety reasons can only be adjusted in an anti-
clockwise direction via the main crown. The mechanical
movement with automatic winding has 21 jewel bear-
ings (synthetic rubies) and a power reserve of at least
42 hours when fully wound. The case of your watch is
made of stainless steel. Your watch is shockproof, anti-
magnetic and protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire
glass of hardness grade 9. The Aquatimer Automatic is
water-resistant to a pressure of 100 bar, equivalent to a
depth of water of 1000 metres. It is absolutely essential
to observe a few important operating notes to ensure
that this extraordinary watch is able to perform its tasks
in the future.
