03. Program and test the pair of photocells. With the device still open,
see STEP 7.
04. Choose the place and the position in which to install the photocells.
First, read the following warnings: • PH100W may be installed only in
the position shown in fig. 29. • The TX and RX elements each include
a cell for solar power; therefore it can be used only in open areas
which are directly illuminated by the sun. Check estimated autonomy
(paragraph 3.2.1). To increase battery life it is recommended, where
practical and preferable, to point the cell in the direction of maximum
sunlight. In each case however, comply with the rules for choosing
the position of the photocells (distance from the leaf and height from
the ground). • Position the TX in the most sunlit conditions, in pref-
erence to the RX element, as between the 2 it is the one with the
greatest consumption. • When installing, avoid situations where the
cell can be obscured (for example, tree foliage); for the same reason,
avoid positioning the photocells in nooks.
05. Move PH100W close to the control unit and program it: see STEP 7.
06. Provisionally position PH100W in the location intended for its instal-
lation. Finally, proceed to verification of correct operation of all sys-
tem devices, carrying out the Testing of the system as a whole as
described in STEP 8, paragraph 8.2.
07. Once testing is complete, affix the photocells firmly, referring to fig.
