c) Operation using an external DMX controller
Each DMX device within a DMX chain requires a DMX start address in order to be controlled by the
controller directly. This DMX start address determines the first DMX channel to which the LED spotlight
reacts. The other control channels follow subsequently to this first DMX channel (DMX start address).

12. Troubleshooting

The LED spotlight features a state-of-the art design and is safe to operate. Nonetheless, errors and
malfunctions may occur. Please review the following for information on troubleshooting should problems
occur.
The product does not function after being connected to the power supply:
• The power plug is not properly connected to the wall socket.
• No power supply at the wall socket.
The product does not respond to DMX commands:
• DMX LED must be turned on. If not, check DMX connections.
• If DMX LED is turned on and the channel does not respond, check the DIP switches and DMX polarity.
• If you experience alternating DMX signal problems, check the pins on the connector, the circuit board or
on the previous device within the chain.
• Check whether the cables run in the vicinity of or next to high voltage cables that may be causing failure
or interference in the DMX network.
• The connection between the DMX controller and the LED spotlight is interrupted.
• The DMX cable may be fractured. Check whether the LED responds to the master/slave signal.
• An incorrect DMX address was set. Set the correct DMX address.
• The DMX cable is too long or subject to interferences. Use a special DMX high-frequency cable. Try
installing the DMX cable away from sources of interference.
