ULTRASONIC HUMIDIFIERS AND WATER QUALITY
Ultrasonic humidifiers operate on the principle of high frequency oscillation of water
molecules until they are broken into ultra-fine particles (1-5µm).This is done by a
transducer (sometimes called an atomizer, nebulizer or oscillator) inside the
humidifier. The fine mist created is then dispersed into the air by a fan.
Because the water itself is atomized, any minerals or debris in the water will be
dispersed into the air as well, creating fine white dust that could be inhaled. For that
reason it is highly recommended that a demineralization filter is used whenever an
ultrasonic humidifier is in use.
NOTES ON LOCATION
To prevent damage caused by condensation, position the humidifier on a smooth,
flat, nonmetallic, waterproof surface and position direction of vapor away from
furniture, electronics and direct sunlight.
Place the unit at least seven (7) feet from electronics or other electric appliances.
If condensation forms on the window pane, reposition unit to another location.
We do not recommend operating this unit in a closed room for an extended period of
time, as condensation will collect on walls or other surfaces and cause damage.
Avoid aiming the mist directly toward young children.
In order to get the most effective use from your humidifier, it is important to position
the unit properly in the room.
ASSEMBLY
1) Open carton and carefully
unpack humidifier from carton.
2) Remove and set aside the
remote control.
3) Take care not to damage the
long nozzle as you take it from
the carton.
4) Remove inner packing and lift
out water tank and base.
5) Set base on level surface.
6) Place water tank on top of
base noting that the two
pieces only fit together one
way.
7) Place the nozzle section on
the top.
NOTE: The nozzle is made of two
pieces that are attached. If these
two segments separate you can
use household glue to reattach
them.
