Handling and Operation

NOTES
• Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water to make
coffee!
• Never overfi ll the permanent fi lter.

Display Lighting

The display lighting goes out 60 seconds after the last button has been pressed, unless the device
is in operation. Press any button to switch on the display lighting.
Time
As soon as the mains plug is plugged into a plug socket, the display lighting turns on and the time
display 12:00 fl ashes. The clock has a 24-hour time format.
1. Set the hours by pressing the button
2. Set the minutes by pressing the button
The time is saved until a new time is set or the device has been disconnected from the
power supply for more than a minute.

Filling the Water Tank

1. Open the water tank lid.
2. Use the glass jug (8) to pour fresh drinking water into the water tank (6). Note the MAX
marking (12 cups).
3. Close the water tank lid.
The coffee machine only removes the amount of water from the water tank that is required for
the set number of cups.
Adding Coffee Beans
1. Take off the lid of the coffee bean compartment (1).
Ensure that the water tank (6) is closed so that no coffee beans can fall into the water tank.
2. Fill the coffee bean compartment (2) with your favourite beans. Do not overfi ll it!
3. Place the lid back on the coffee bean compartment.
When you switch to another type of coffee, there will still be coffee powder from the previ-
ous type in the grinder shaft.
