Instructions for the GDB 1600 WE
Never operate the machine without
the residual current device (RCD)
provided.
Before starting work, check the proper func-
tion of the residual current device (RCD).
Have a damaged residual current device
(RCD) repaired or replaced by your Bosch
after-sales service agent.
Pay attention that neither persons in the
working area nor the power tool itself come
into contact with the water that comes out.
When wet-drilling over-
head, the water coming
out must be collected.
For this, insert the machine
into a drill stand and mount
a water collection ring.
Pay attention that water-conducting hoses,
connnection elements and the water collec-
tion ring (accessory) are in proper condition.
Replace damaged or worn parts before using
the next time. Water coming out of power tool
components increases the risk of electric shock.

via a residual current device (RCD).

shock, fire and/or serious injury.
While reading the operating instructions,

Intended Use
GDB 1600 WE: In conjunction with wet-drilling dia-
mond core bits and a water supply, the machine is
intended for wet drilling in concrete and reinforced con-
crete. The machine can be used in combination with an
extraction device (water collection ring and all-purpose
vac). The machine can also be used for dry drilling
when mounting the Bosch suction head.
GDB 1600 DE: In conjunction with diamond core bits
and a suitable extraction device, the machine is suitable
for dry drilling in brick, sandstone, aerated-concrete
block and tiles.
