Important:
• For the wiring, please consult the label on the back of the outside station.
b. Connecting to a door opener or electronic lock (fi g. 6)
Connect directly to terminals 5 and 6 on the back of the outside station (no polarity to respect).
Note that this function is only valid if the screen is switched on. The image will be interrupted briefl y when the
control is used.
Important : The door opener or electronic lock you are about to install must be a low consumption device and
have a mechanical memory like all EXTEL references. For the wiring, please consult the label on the back of the
outside station.
c. Connecting to a motorised entrance gate (fi g.6)
Connect directly to terminals 3 and 4 on the back of the outside station. The outside station delivers a "dry"
contact with no current, to be connected to the "push button control" of your automatic opener.
Note that this function is only valid if the screen is switched on. The image will be interrupted briefl y when the
control is used.

6. USER GUIDE

a. Using the videophone
• A call from the outside station triggers an audible alarm , causes the LEDs to flash and
switches on the monitor for about 30 seconds. When the visitor has been identified, press the button to talk.
• When the conversation is finished wait for the end of the time-out (approximately 2 minutes) or press the
button to turn the monitor off.
• Prolonging the image:
To prolong the image a further 30 seconds, press the key.
• Activating a latch:
The latch or lock is triggered when the button is pressed.
• Activating an automatic mechanism:
To activate an automatic control, press the button
The opening functions are only valid if the screen is switched on. The image will be briefl y interrupted when the
control is used.
b. Monitor settings (fi g.2)
5 settings - accessible beneath the monitor:
• LED adjustments (8) ON : back-lighting on OFF : back lighting off
• Ring tone selection (9)
• Ring tone volume setting (10)

If you notice that the outside station camera lens is not correctly aligned when installing the monitor and outside
station in their final positions, you can compensate for this misalignment using the adjustment holes at the back of
the outside station (8 fig.3) by inserting a tooth pick into the holes.
Caution, you can only compensate by a few centimetres in height.
