SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using the appliance certain safety precautions
should be observed, such as indicated below :
– Only use the appliance for the purpose for which it is
intended, the cleaning of windows, plate glass or
other small smooth surfaces.
– This cleaning appliance is intended for domestic use
only.
– Before connecting the appliance to the mains, make
sure that your mains voltage corresponds to the
voltage indicated on the identification plate.
– Never push the plug into the socket or take it out with
wet hands.
– Only use this appliance with an earthed mains
supply.
– Never switch off the appliance by pulling on the
electric lead, but only on the plug.
– Check that the power lead is not in contact with hot
surfaces or sharp edges.
– Do not use this appliance if it is damaged, if it leaks,
or if the power cable is damaged.
– When using the appliance where there are children
please take extra care. Store it out of reach of
children.
– If you need to use an extension lead, place it so that
it cannot trip up anyone, or be unplugged by
accident.
– Never leave Actiglass switched on unsupervised.
– It is essential to unplug the appliance before filling up
the reservoir.
– Never put the appliance in water or other liquids.
– The mains lead for the appliance cannot be replaced.
If it is damaged or worn, the appliance should be
discarded.
– Any appliance that can no longer be used should
have the electric lead cut off, to ensure that it is safely
immobilised.
IMPORTANT
– Never direct the steam jet in the direction of a person
or animal. The steam is hot and can cause harm.
– Never direct the steam towards electric leads,
appliances or equipment.
– Do not attempt to change the wiper blade microfibre
strip whilst the Actiglass is switched on and
steaming.
– Do not put your hands near the steam vents.
– Take care when opening the reservoir cap during use
as some residual steam may come out.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS AND ADVICE
Actiglass' efficiency is the result of the effects of steam
as it condenses on a surface.
Steam loosens and detaches dirt from a surface.
However, it is adviseable to try Actiglass on a hidden
test area of the surface to be cleaned to check for any
adverse reaction.
After cleaning windows, any small imperfections in the
glass, such as fine scratches, may show up more
clearly.
In cold wheather gently pre-heat your windows before
applying the Actiglass steam.
The manufacturer will not be responsible for any
damage caused to the appliance or to objects, animals
or persons due to incorrect use of the appliance, or
through failure to observe the correct user instructions.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes
and alterations to the product without prior notice.
VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
Bij het gebruik van het toestel zijn enkele elementaire
voorzorgen te nemen zoals hieronder beschreven :
– Gebruik dit toestel enkel voor het gebruik waartoe het
is voorzien : het met waterdamp schoonmaken van
ruiten, spiegels of andere kleine, gladde oppervlaktes.
– Dit onderhoudstoestel is exclusief bestemd voor
huishoudelijk gebruik zoals beschreven in deze
gebruiksaanwijzing.
– Vooraleer het toestel op het net aan te sluiten, nagaan
of de voltage van uw installatie overeenkomt met de
voltage beschreven op het signalisatieplaatje.
– Gebruik in elk geval een stopcontact met een
aardleiding, dit voor uw veiligheid.
– De stekker nooit met natte handen aansluiten of uit het
stopcontact halen.
– Het toestel nooit buiten werking stellen door aan het
snoer te trekken, wel aan de stekker.
– Let erop dat het snoer geen warme oppervlaktes of
scherve kanten raakt.
– Gebruik uw toestel niet als het lekt, beschadigd is of
met een geschadigd snoer.
– Indien u het toestel gebruikt bij aanwezigheid van
kinderen is een grote waakzaamheid nodig. Berg het
op buiten het bereik van kinderen.
– Indien een verlengsnoer nodig is, let erop die zodanig
te plaatsen dat men er niet kan over struikelen of per
ongeluk uitschakelen. Het verlengsnoer moet
voorzien zijn van een aarding.
– Laat het toestel nooit aangesloten zonder toezicht.
– Stel het toestel noodzakelijkerwijze buiten werking
om het reservoir te vullen.
– Dompel uw toestel nooit onder in water
– Het elektrische snoer van dit apparaat kan niet worden
vervangen. Indien het beschadigd is, dient het
apparaat te worden afgedankt.
– Elk toestel dat buiten gebruik is, moet definitief
onbruikbaar gemaakt worden alvorens het weg te
werpen. Knip daartoe het elektrisch snoer door.
BELANGRIJKE RAADGEVINGEN
– Richt de ontsnappende stoom niet op een persoon of
een dier. De stoom is warm en kan brandwonden
veroorzaken.
– Richt de stoom niet op schakelingen, elektrische
toestellen en installaties.
– Vervang het trekkertje of de sponsdoek niet wanneer
damp verspreid wordt.
– Plaats uw handen niet in de onmiddellijke nabijheid
van de stoomgaatjes.
– Opgelet bij het openen van de sluitdop tijdens het
gebruik : resterende damp kan nog vrijkomen uit de
vulopening.
GEBRUIKSVOORZORGEN EN
BIJZONDERE OPMERKINGEN
Het thermische en mechanische effect van de
wasemende stoom bepalen rechtstreeks de
doeltreffendheid van de Actiglass.
De ondergrond die u met stoom wilt reinigen kan
losweken, ontkleuren, vervormen of smelten.
Controleer daarom of het materiaal bestand is tegen
warmte en vochtigheid (probeer het eerst even uit op
een onzichtbaar stukje).
Met de Actiglass zijn uw ruiten zó schoon, dat
eventuele foutjes in het glas (zoals heel fijne krasjes)
zichtbaar worden.
Bij heel koud weer, kunt u de ruiten beter
voorverwarmen om een thermische schok te
vermijden.
DOMENA wijst alle aansprakelijkheid van de hand in
verband met schade berokkend aan voorwerpen, dieren
of personen, te wijten aan een niet conform gebruik van
het toestel, het niet naleven van de handleiding
De fabrikant behoudt zich het recht voor de
gepresenteerde modellen en hun kenmerken en
accessoires te wijzigen.
