IMPORTANT ADVICE

When using the machine, the following basic
precautions should be taken :
- Read carefully the instructions before using the
appliance.
- Use the appliance only for its intended purpose, i.e.
steam cleaning, ironing and smoothing (appliance
with iron).
- Before connecting your cleaner to the mains, make
sure that your mains voltage corresponds to the
voltage indicated on the rating plate.
- Use a mains supply which has an earth connection,
for your own safety.
- To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another
high wattage appliance on the same circuit.
- Never plug in or pull the plug from the socket with
wet hands.
- Make sure that the power cable does not touch any
hot surfaces.
- When unplugging the machine, pull the plug, not
the cable.
- Do not use the cleaner if it is damaged, if it leaks,
or if the power cable is damaged. To avoid any risk
of electric shocks, do not dismantle your cleaner.
Take it to your nearest After Sales Service dealer for
servicing or repair.
- If an extension lead is absolutely necessary, a
10  amp cable should be used. Ensure no one can
trip over or unplug the extension lead. It must be
fitted with an earth connection.
IMPORTANT
- Never call for steam when the water tank is empty ; you run the risk of damaging the pump.
- Never add alcohol-based products (perfumes, eau de cologne, etc) to the water.
- Do not use cleaning products or other detergents or stain removers.
- Do not point the jet of steam at an animal or person. The steam is extremely hot and could cause serious
burns.
- Do not point the jet of steam in the direction of any electrical plugs or equipment, including the cleaning
appliance itself.
- Do not change the attachments whilst the appliance is emitting steam.
PRECAUTIONS
• Steam or steam pressure may : loosen, detach, discolour, deform or melt the surface to be cleaned.
• Always check heat and humidity resistance of the material to be cleaned by carrying out a preliminary test
on a hidden surface.
• The illustrations provided in the «applications» section are intended as examples only and are by no means
comprehensive.
• Domena cannot be held responsible for any damage to material, animals, or persons due to improper use of
steam.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is
switched on.
- Great care must be taken when cleaning in
the presence of children. Do not leave cleaner
unattended whilst switched on.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Never immerse the machine in water or other
liquids, not even partially.
- Use only DOMENA accessories.
- If you fill the water tank without removing it from
its compartment in the appliance, it is essential to
unplug the appliance first.
- Do not leave the appliance on stairways or other
unstable areas where it might be knocked over.
- Do not store the appliance out of doors or where
there is a risk of frost.
- Any appliance that is no longer usable must be
neutralised before being thrown away : cut off
the power lead. For any repair, take your machine
to a registered aftersales service centre, so that
the repair will be in accordance with the standards
indicated in this instruction book.
- Any repair done by an unauthorized person would
cancel the warranty.
